Celebration

Characteristics:
A warm-season grass with very fine texture, maintained Celebration is known for its striking blue-green color.

It’s a highly versatile, fine-bladed turfgrass that is used for sports applications, commercial uses and home lawns with playful kids and energetic pets since it can withstand a lot of wear and tear.

Temperature Tolerance:

This is an exceptional grass if you live where it’s hot and have low water resources.

Celebration exhibits excellent heat and cold tolerance and can endure extended periods of drought, making it very well-suited for the sweltering Texas summers and extended periods of cold.

This adaptability to extreme weather conditions makes it an ideal choice for homeowners looking to maintain a beautiful lawn with minimal water consumption.

Shade Tolerance:

Compared to most other Bermuda strains, Celebration has some shade tolerance and can survive in areas with only 6-8 hours of direct sunlight compared to the all day sun other Bermudas require.

Wear Resistance:

One of our most wear resistant turfs.

It’s a thick, high-density turf that has a soft texture and cushioned feel.

Water Requirements:

Can survive with very little irrigation.

However, in order to maintain good quality turf, waterings of approximately 1/2" to 1" inch two to three times a week depending on soil type may be required.

Disease and Insect Susceptibility:

With the exception of certain leaf feeding insects (army worms in late summer/early fall), Tifway demonstrates tolerance or can quick recovery from damage after pest control treatments.

Recommended Usage:

Celebration holds its color well throughout the season and has a very good spring green up. The fine leaf and soft, delicate texture make it comfortable to walk on.

It quickly establishes itself due to its deep root structure and forms a dense turf, creating a carpet-like appearance that enhances the look of your space.
